About Taylor

Taylor Aasand, MPH, RDN, began her career working at The Meadows Ranch, in Wickenburg, Arizona, working with clients seeking treatment for substance use, addiction, and eating disorders. She discovered her passion for nutrition at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where she received her bachelor’s degree and Master of Public Health Degree, both in nutrition. While pursuing her master’s degree, she completed her dietetic internship giving her the credentials to become a registered dietitian. In the internship process, Taylor was drawn to the complexity of working with unique populations from a public health perspective, and how everyone’s relationship with food and their body can impact their mental health. She worked at various clinical and mental health clinics in the Minneapolis area, where she helped clients struggling with physical and mental health conditions by focusing on their nutritional intake. Clients were able to identify which foods made them feel better both physically and even emotionally, by helping clients tune into their innate inner wisdom.

Taylor and her clients would see together how small, sustainable changes and increased insight could make huge differences in someone’s life. Since then, Taylor has been working in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area providing dietitian services to residential, intensive outpatient, and outpatient clinics to clients struggling with eating disorders, addictions, and chronic medical conditions. Taylor has extensive training in intuitive eating, eating disorders, body image, and the impact nutrition has on the brain and gastrointestinal system. She uses a non-weight focused approach with clients at PCS, and is a strong believer that health cannot be captured by one single number. Her work at PCS is dedicated to helping clients focus on small, sustainable changes that make a big difference. She is grateful for the clients at PCS and her career that help her learn and grow everyday.
