About Suzanne

Suzanne is currently completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. Before returning to graduate school, she earned my bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Arizona with minors in Family Studies and Religious Studies.

Early in her career, Suzanne worked in behavioral health with adolescents before moving into corporate Human Resources and Employee Relations. Later, she stepped away from the workforce to raise her three children as a stay-at-home mom. While Suzanne cherished her time at home with her kids, as they grew older, she found myself drawn back to school to pursue a career in clinical mental health counseling. Each of these chapters of Suzanne’s life has shaped her, both as a person and as a counselor.

Along the way, Suzanne’s personal experience with counseling has deepened her appreciation for the healing that can take place within a supportive therapeutic relationship. That growth has strengthened her desire to walk alongside others as they navigate life’s challenges. Suzanne is grateful for the opportunity to begin serving clients as an intern at PCS.

Suzanne’s counseling style is grounded in person-centered therapy and informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Her hope is to offer clients a calm and steady presence where they feel safe to be fully themselves without fear of judgment. Together, everyone can work toward greater self-understanding and healing. Above all, Suzanne wants clients to leave each session feeling encouraged, supported, and hopeful. Outside of counseling, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her husband and three teenage children, running, cycling, and being active outdoors.
