Steve is a clinical intern specializing in addiction counseling, supporting clients across the full spectrum of addictive behaviors, with a particular emphasis on substance use. He works with individuals, groups, and adolescents, drawing on Motivational Interviewing, person-centered, and solution-focused approaches to help clients build sustainable, self-directed paths to recovery. His clinical approach is further informed by his own long-term personal recovery, giving him a grounded, firsthand understanding of the work he does with clients and their families.
Prior to his clinical training, Steve spent over a decade founding and leading organizations in behavioral health and healthcare, including a diagnostics and software company that partnered with treatment centers, providers, and government health systems, and Hard Stop, a national youth drug abuse prevention program he co-founded (thestopstartshere.org). This background gives him a rare, dual-lens perspective — one that understands both the clinical realities of recovery and the business and systems that shape how care is delivered.
Steve is completing his Master’s in Addiction Counseling and is working toward LAAC licensure. He is committed to bringing rigor, discretion, and genuine care to every client relationship, working alongside individuals and families navigating some of the most difficult chapters of their lives.
