About Sashie

Every behavior has a story, every person deserves to be understood, and real change begins with curiosity and compassion. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can safely explore your experiences, better understand yourself, and create meaningful change.

I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bellevue University. Before pursuing counseling, I spent more than twenty years working with children, adolescents, and families as an educator, nonprofit leader, and mentor. Those experiences deepened my appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit and the power of genuine human connection.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centered therapy and is informed by attachment theory, psychodynamic concepts, and strengths-based practices. I am especially drawn to understanding how our earliest relationships shape the way we see ourselves and relate to others. I enjoy helping clients recognize the patterns they’ve developed for self-protection, reconnect with younger parts of themselves with compassion, and build healthier relationships. I have a special interest in grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, and healing from painful childhood experiences. I believe therapy is not about fixing people; it’s about creating a safe space where healing, self-understanding, and lasting change become possible.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four children. I can often be found hosting family and friends, being creative in the kitchen, and bringing people together in ways that foster connection and community.
