About Grace

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I received her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University in Texas, a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan, and Bachelors in Science Degree in Home Economics from Eastern Michigan University.

I have over five years of experience working with individuals struggling with anorexia, bulimia, binge and emotional eating disorders. I also have over ten years of experience working with issues surrounding grief and loss and worked as a bereavement and family counselor for two hospice organizations in Northern Michigan. I am a trained “Intentional Woman” facilitator and trained in EMDR and psychodrama. One of my specialties is helping women develop a nurturing, accepting relationship with their body and looking at issues of sensuality and sexuality in whatever season of life they happen to be. I also work with couples, preteens and adolescents. I believe being real is more important than “being perfect” and encourage others to sit with the anxiety of building authentic spiritual, emotional and interpersonal relationships.
