About Rachel

I have a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from Midwestern University, Glendale, AZ where I also received a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology (M.A.). Prior to that, I received a Masters degree in Counseling (MC) from Arizona State University as well. My previous clinical training experiences have included providing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) therapy, conducting neurofeedback, and administering psychological assessments at a neuropsychology private practice & providing varied forms of psychotherapy to both individuals and groups in community mental health settings. As part of my background, I have been able to provide therapy and assessment services to individuals of diverse races, sexual orientations, religions, socioeconomic statuses, and ages as well as presenting concerns (i.e., individuals & couples, communication, boundaries, grief & loss, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, trauma). Throughout my educational experiences, I extensively researched romantic relationships where I have designed/implemented studies both in the United States and in Suva, Fiji.

My clinical practice involves implementing a variety of modalities including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Person-Centered Therapy, strengths-based approaches, mindfulness practices, Art Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and group therapy. I am also trained by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) to practice & facilitate EMDR therapy with my clients. My integrative approach allows for an individualized process for clients in order to best meet their needs for growth & recovery.

Personally, I was born and raised in Arizona and in my free time I enjoy spending time with family & friends, playing with my dogs, volunteering in the community, staying active, eating at new restaurants, & traveling!

I currently hold a temporary license with the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners and am receiving supervision while working toward my independent licensure. I am under the supervision of Marcus Earle, Ph.D., LMFT, CSAT, S-PSB, AASECT.
