About Jude

We often make therapy more complicated than it really is. I have found that people attend therapy for three reasons: to think differently, to feel differently, and to act differently. The challenge often comes not in identifying what we would like to be different, but rather in how we can be different.

I primarily utilize a relational approach to therapy. In my opinion, and consistent with a large body of research, change within therapy is primarily driven by the quality of the therapeutic relationship. My experience has been that the presence of a strong therapeutic relationship precedes growth not only for the client but for the therapist as well. Importantly, therapy is a collaborative process that involves the intentional engagement of both the therapist and the client. Prior to completing my doctorate in clinical psychology, I served in US Army special operations in a variety of positions and locations around the world. The experiences and relationships I was privileged to have as a result of my service greatly influence my approach to working with people presenting with unique personal strengths and histories. As such, I am flexible and select an approach that is informed by your unique needs, personality, and situation.

I have a variety of clinical experiences working with clients with a range of presenting concerns to include: addiction, anxiety, compulsive behaviors, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, personality, relationships, stress, trauma and PTSD, and veterans’ issues. I find working with trauma and personality concerns to be the most fulfilling aspects of my work.

In my personal life, I am a licensed skydiver and scuba diver. Additionally, I enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, exercising, and spending time with my friends and family.

As a Post-Doctoral Resident, I am currently under the supervision of Marcus Earle, Ph.D., LMFT, CSAT, S-PSB.
