Eating disorders affect many in our culture. The emphasis in this area is on treating both the individual and family system. Treatment is available for anorexia nervosa, bulimia, and compulsive eating disorders. The treatment team consists of psychologists, master’s level therapists, psychiatrists, dieticians, exercise physiologists, and other special professionals. Levels of care include individual weekly psychotherapy, as well as intensive outpatient therapy if needed. Components of treatment include focus in the area of individual, family, and group therapy, body image therapy, exercise prescription, dietary planning, stress management, communication skills, life coping skills, and psychodrama.
